IRONGRID
Our Story

Built in the field. Built for the field.

IRONGRID didn't start as a product idea. It started as a solution — built for a real contractor dealing with real problems that no existing tool was solving well enough.

How it started

A contractor we worked with closely was running a growing operation — multiple crews, a steady stream of jobs, and a client list that kept expanding. On paper, business was good. In practice, the day-to-day was held together with group texts, spreadsheets, and a lot of memory.

The work was good and the business was growing — but the tools available weren't keeping pace. Staying on top of crew assignments, job costs, and client billing meant constant context switching between apps, spreadsheets, and phone calls. Time that should have gone into the work was going into managing the information around it.

We looked at what was available and found tools that were either too simple to be useful or too complicated to actually use on a job site. So we built something different — purpose-built for the way contractors actually work, not the way software companies imagine they do.

Three problems. One platform.

Every contractor we've talked to runs into the same walls. IRONGRID was built to knock them down.

Crew coordination

Who's on which job, what stage are they at, and who even knows? Managing a crew through group texts and phone calls works until it doesn't — and then it really doesn't.

Billing & getting paid

Building professional invoices, tracking what's been paid, and chasing what hasn't shouldn't require a part-time accountant. But without the right tools, that's exactly what it takes.

Scaling up

The systems that work for a two-person crew collapse the moment you add more jobs, more people, and more clients. Growth stalls not because of the work — but because the backend can't keep up.

What we built

One platform for the whole job

IRONGRID brings work orders, crew scheduling, time tracking, materials management, cost calculations, and invoicing into a single connected platform. Every piece of a job — from the first task to the final payment — lives in one place, visible to everyone who needs to see it.

It's built to work on a phone at a job site, not just on a desktop in an office. And it's designed for contractors of every size — from a solo operator getting organized to an established multi-crew company that needs real operational oversight.

Work orders with full status tracking, assignments, and activity history
Time and materials tracking tied directly to job costs
Invoicing with electronic payment collection built in
Analytics that show where your business actually stands
Unlimited team members on every plan

How we think about the product

01

Built for the field, not the office

IRONGRID is designed to work where the job is — on a phone, between tasks, under time pressure. Every feature has to earn its place by being genuinely useful to the person using it.

02

Everything connected

Work orders, crew hours, materials, costs, invoices — they all talk to each other. No copy-pasting between apps, no reconciling two systems that disagree.

03

Honest pricing

We don't charge per seat. Your crew size shouldn't determine your software bill. You pay only for the capabilities you need, and every plan includes unlimited team members.
